The Township of Algonquin Highlands has an extra approximately $165,000 to work with.
That is thanks to the surplus reported in the township’s audit of 2016.
The latest audit report shows the surplus, and Reeve Carol Moffatt tells us some projects were under budget.
Moffatt also said the extra funds will go into their working reserve

She adds that smart financial management has put them in a good situation.
Moffatt adds no services were compromised, and no jobs were lost.
