A pair of Harcourt residents is facing several charges after an investigation into an assault in Bancroft.
The O.P.P. says a 59-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman are both facing counts of production of a schedule two substance, possession with intent to traffic, possession of stolen property over $5,000, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm obtained through crime.
These charges stem from an investigation into an assault that left a Bancroft man with life-threatening injuries on September 14th. A 24-year-old from Harcourt, and a 21-year-old were both arrested and charged with similar crimes, as well as disguise with intent, and trespassing at night. The 24-year-old was also charged with aggravated assault.
He was held on bail until September 21st, whereas the 21-year-old was released on a promise to appear October 30th. The man and woman most recently charged were released on a summons to appear, also on October 30th.
