The Municipality of Dysart et al has won gold.
At the Promotion and Education Awards last week, the Municipal Waste Association presented Dysart a Gold Campaign Award for its 2023 public awareness campaign “Recycling Is Easy!”, that encouraged the proper recycling of food and beverage cartons.
The judges remarked “Targeting a very specific material type—food and beverage cartons—this campaign provided residents with a reusable recycling bag, and used print and radio ads, along with social media and a digital waste sorting game, to encourage residents to sort correctly.”
The Municipal Waste Association annual Promotion and Education Awards recognize outstanding achievements by Ontario municipalities for the use of effective waste minimization and diversion communication efforts.
