The Township of Minden Hills is opening a cooling centre at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena.
Officials say Community Rooms 1 and 2 are opened from 8am to 4pm today (Tuesday), and will re-open once again tomorrow.
The Town says residents and visitors may also visit the Minden Branch of the Haliburton Library during operating hours if they need to cool down.
As the heat-warning continues, officials are reminding everyone to drink plenty of fluids, rest frequently in shaded areas, and to check in regularly on family, friends and neighbours.
