The deadline has been extended for Kawartha-Haliburton Renovates funding.
Officials say the program, funded through the Ontario Priorities Housing Initiative, provides a forgivable loan of up to $20,000 for home repairs, like fixing roofs, plumbing, heating, foundations, wells and septic systems.
Up to $5,000 is also available for upgrades to reduce physical barriers, including the installation of ramps and handrails.
The program is open to people in the City of Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton.

Officials say all applications are reviewed on a priority basis based on income and type of repair.
Applications will now to accepted until April 24.
