The Haliburton County Paramedics service is getting three new vehicles equipped with cardiac monitors, defibrillators and automatic CPR devices.
Haliburton County Council approved the purchases at a meeting on April 23 at a total cost of $281,000.
Officials say the vehicles, three Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, will be used for the Community Paramedic Program, and each vehicle will be equipped with cardiac monitors/defibrillators and automatic CPR devices.
The program, implemented in 2017, now includes four full-time paramedics providing in-home visits across the county 7-days a week.
