The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is encouraging residents in Haliburton County to keep a close watch on water conditions.
IRM Technical Specialist Kris Windover says to frequently check for updated conditions on rivers and streams.
Windover says at this moment there isn’t a risk of flooding in Haliburton County but residents who have a history with flooding should take precautions to protect their property by ensuring sump pumps are functioning.
