Highlands East has its mayor for the next four years.
Dave Burton was re-elected after getting 1,557 votes. Cheryl Ellis got 1,211.
Cam McKenzie won the Ward One councillor seat after beating Steven Kaufeldt by 140 votes. Another councillor re-elected was Suzanne Partridge who beat Jane Russell by 245 votes. Partridge is also the current County Warden.
As of December, Highlands East council will consist of Dave Burton, Cam McKenzie, Suzanne Partridge, Cec Ryall, and Ruth Strong.
