HALIBURTON, ON – A beach in Dysart is staying closed until authorities know it is safe to use.
The Municipality of Dysart et al announced yesterday that Rotary Beach in Haliburton Village is closed for the time being.
According to the municipality, the reason for the closure is because of the boat that caught fire on Sunday evening on the lake.
There is reportedly equipment at the beach to absorb any oil or gasoline that might have spilled into the water.
No word yet on how long the beach will be closed but the municipality will give notice when it is open again.
