COVID-19 has affected bridge work that was scheduled to start May 19.
The Little Hawk Lake Road bridge replacement has been re-scheduled to begin June 29, with a 5-week road closure.
Crews will remove the steel bridge and guide rail, and also raise the surrounding roadway.
The replacement structure is of a sympathetic design meaning it is intended to respect the heritage of the existing structure.
The current estimated completion date is August 7.
