Two new COVID-19 cases reported in Haliburton Tuesday

The local health unit reported two new cases of COVID-19 in Haliburton today. 

The county now stands at ten active cases with eight high-risk contacts, two fewer overnight. 

Kawartha Lakes’ active case count remains at 35 after the health unit added one case and one recovery. 

The health unit reported 36 new cases and three recoveries in Northumberland which now stands at 132 active cases and 256 high-risk contacts, ten fewer overnight.

Three more people in Haliburton screened positive for a variant overnight, 15 more in Kawartha and 22 more in Northumberland**.

**Even though the variants of concern have been counted in the data today it takes two weeks for the results to return from the lab and these cases have already been counted in previous daily case counts.
