It was one of the most challenging winters in recent memory for the Haliburton County Snowmobile Association (HCSA).
That from HCSA President Neil Vanderstoop during the clubs recent Annual General Meeting this past Saturday.
Vanderstoop says that’s due to the poor weather which brought challenges to the organizations on a near-daily basis.
It wasn’t all bad news, however. The club awarded Al McPherson from West Guilford as volunteer of the year, with Sherri Patterson winning Woman of the year.
Vanderstoop also said $50,000 worth of improvements was spent on the nearly 400 km of local trails.
Officials say t not for profit brings millions of dollars in visitor spending to the County annually.
